Iran's foreign minister to tour region to discuss Palestine

TEHRAN, Oct. 12 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is scheduled to tour the regional countries to discuss the situation in Palestine.

Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon on Wednesday announced that considering the current events in Palestine and the crimes committed against Gaza and its dangerous consequences, the visit of Amir-Abdollahian will begin today.

Amir-Abdollahian's visits will also include Lebanon, he said.

Meanwhile, Iranian media have reported that the top Iranian diplomat is scheduled to visit Baghdad on Wednesday.

Speaking to his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday night, Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi said, "Today, all the Islamic and Arab countries and all the freedom-seeking people of the world must reach a serious convergence and cooperation in the path of stopping the crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian nation. Accordingly, the Islamic Republic of Iran will try to achieve that coordination as soon as possible by contacting the leaders of the Islamic countries."

On Saturday, Palestinian Resistance group Hamas launched a large-scale operation with a heavy barrage of rockets in response to the Israeli regime's desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and increased settler violence. The Israeli regime's military forces also announced it was launching Operation 'Iron Swords' in retaliation for the attack.

On Sunday night, Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu voted to put the regime officially at war.

The death toll from the Palestinian side and the Zionist side are increasing dramatically as the conflict between them continues.
